right went for the startup today on the 172 after rebuild, it starts, idles and revs really well when chokes on. (phbl 25mm carb), but when i take choke off the bike just bogs down and dies, even if i rev it. i will find out what jets i got in there tomorrow but does any1 kno what it could be.
read minors carb tuning guide start from scratch and be patient with it?drop the circlip on the needle to the top or first slot from the blunt end and go from there? so satisfying when you get it just right(or what you think is just right)
first off what are 1 . 2 and 3 . it says 60 on the side of number one 50 on the top of number two and aq266 on the side of number 3. the slide pin is on the bottom 4th notch. The bike kickstarts first time without choke and runs really lumpy. it revs fine but when i ride it hasent got no pull really. when i had this carb on my old 172 it felt the same and when i put standard carb on the bike was flying.
you really shouldnt of changed the carb youself if you dont know what each of those are (not being harsh) hope you get it sorted, read the guide!
hes alright hes not thik ave a look at his project ffs, lol anyway need to sort out main jets, get a 98 to say a 108 and worst ways ill coem help you.
no need to touch those. like i said its too lean :msn1: if it bogs from idle when you rev richin idle mix if it bogs middle throttle drop the needle or if it is full main jet needs higthing. like i said is lean,
my bad, thought you were another random guy without a clue asking about jetting :w00t: seem to be alot of those.
how hard is it to google "dellorto" first couple links will find you an itemised breakdown of the carb and its parts.
