hi ive just bought a second hand peugeot elystar, the bike has only started about 5 times since ive had it, when i turn the key on the immobiliser light keeps flashing and it wont start. I only have the black key and not the master red one, is there any way round this. TIA
The expensive way is OEM parts from peugeot and refitting them , but its not cheap at one bit. what most will do is buy a immobiliser bypass unit, it replaces the ACI100,1 -ACI100,2 immobilizers so you dont need to have the red progammer key any more, BUT you will also NOT have an immobilizer , they vary in price from £45 on ebay to beedspeed charging £150 for the unit. And welcome to the Scooter Shack Anne
afraid to say only other way is via peugeot and they will cost you upwards £300 to replace the parts ( immobilizer, ignition barrel - new keys ), the money you save from fitting a bypass unit could be used to buy a good strong thick motorcycle chain to deter any thiefs , but if they want to steal your scooter they will , the lock just makes them think twice and adds a lotta time for them to steal it to.
What he said. I work(ed) for a main stealer, i mean dealer... Online parts will save you a fortune. And the money saved can go on a cheap alarm...
