bike playing up

started my bike and put it out front for five minutes while I answered the phone , when I got off the phone the bike had stopped and turned over but wouldn't startup left it for a hour and it started but stopped after ten minutes and wont fire up
what do you reckon I have petrol at the carb but not looked at the carb yet

sounds l;ike the float bowl isnt filling/ or its running too rich (only runs when cold on the choke)

 

re set the tappets, as the inlet had closed up some what gave the float bowl a good tap , ran ok after that went for a 10 mile ride so all seems well
