Cheers ramo Seen alot of GSXR and Ducati tails on these and a few CBR1000 ones too, wanted something different yet keep it fireblade related so thought this would look decent . Tail is off a 954 RR2/3 Fireblade. Will also be doing a front suspension conversion for CBR 1000 RR6/YZFR1 08 type USD forks and yokes. Also contemplating doing a Single sided swingarm conversion but not sure i like the look enough to actually do it to my own bike.
It's a 1997 Honda CBR 900 RR Fireblade . Spec - Erm ... Completely rebuilt chassis including wheels , brakes and suspension and all other bearings and bushes. Engine wise , not allot tbh , just rebuilt cylinder head with new valve guide seals and obviously new gaskets , i do however have a mildly ported head wich i am still waiting to finish off , also have a set of re profiled cams . Other bits like adjustable ignition advance unit , modified air intake with BMC filter and rebuild and re jetted carburettors with height adjustable needles , full stainless steel Micron system with Yoshimura shortened can . Tsubaki drive chain with altered gearing (+2-2) , 17inch front wheel conversion ,HH pads all round . And the obvious bodywork mods . Theres allot more but i can't be asked to go into detail. Dyno run on 1st july 2011 showed 129 HP , this was before carb re jetting and air intake mod . Hoping for around 135 this year. Then i might bang the ported head on and see what happens . Speed - Enough to loose your licence in style , had 160 last summer ( on private land obviously ) still felt like she had more to give but
It probs looks a lot better in real life but IMO there is a bit much going on...less is more and that I've always liked these tho do they ride any good?
Yea it defiantly does look better in real life, and these bikes are really good fun! These are the old 2 strokes, very fooking fast and easy to de-restrict (y) [Takes out a yzf125 easily]
Thanks, will be taking her to a few shows next season so plenty more modding to come just working like a mother fcker to pay for the build ££££££
Here's 12 year old me on my first ped, a '91 Tomos A3 which I still have My next addition a year later, although this pic was taken in 2011 after I rebuilt it (used to be grey frame and ugly red panels, er) My on going MZ 125 project that I got in 2012, should be ready in a few months Not gonna post a pic of my scooter cus, well it's not a bike
