My nrg will rev fine but ill sit on it an it will rev to about 5k then slowly get to about 10mph. Apart from clutch what could it be? Jetting? Rollers are new.
on the nrg the clutch should engage before 5k with the stock springs fitted have you checked how much meat is on the clutch shoe's ? also to much air does the same and it wont move. my kid bro got a mini moto of me a few year back it was fine he had it 10 mins fitted a k&n style filter and next thing he was on the phone saying it revs fine it ticks over fine but wont move i told him to put the air box back on and guess what it was fine again
Clutch is like brand new. Airbox is on but running a tad rich but it still ran fine before. I was riding down a hill an all of a sudden it started going slow which i thought was the loose spring as it randomly ran perfect,accel was mint! Tried fitting the rox tt spring but was abit small so tightend mine abit an its still doing it could it need new rings? Revs are fine it just barely moves.
does it tick over ok if it does i cant see it needing new rings have you cleaned out the carb with some propper carb cleaner ?
Yep carbs clean ,had been soaked in a bucket of carb cleaner. Air filters cleaned petrol an oil tanks have been emptied an refilled all fuel an oil lines have been replaced an bled Belt an pulleys clean so it doesnt slip now. So has to be clutch doesnt it? Im getting the 8 pound clutch springs off pedparts, you get 3 sets. Which should i fit? Stiff?
