iv just finished setting up my aerox which goes really well for a 50cc
iv got a derestricted doppler s3r
    polini variator + rollers
    polini air filter
    pm tuning reed valve
but still the standard 12mm gurtner carb upjetted to a 78mj but iv noticed that i can upgrade to a 17.5mm quite cheaply and wondered if i would benefit much?
    thanks :D

if you buy a bigger carb then you will notice quite a change in sound
and petrol consumption, a bigger carb will give it better speed but u will also feel a slight boggin, this is what happens on my typhoon and that has a 21mm mallosi carb on, have to build the throttle up slowly

personally a bigger carb isnt needed for a 50cc whereas if u had a 70cc kit it would be a different story mate, i use 2 have mine with the same setup as you and it did me fine till i wanted more speed and power so went for 70cc kit.

its not worth putting a bigger carb on in my opinion!

17.5 will be ok with a 50..some 50s run them standard dont they ?

but as steve said.. only really noticable with sumthing like a 70 kit

deffinately get a bigger carb, mines a 12 ml and you can feel its restricting the 70 kit's power big time :emb:

im thinkin of gettin a pmtuning 70 kit and upgrading to a 17.5mm carb off an old aerox, 2 things im unsure of tho...
is there anything il need to change for the different carb to fit/function properly.
what jet size do you think il need? baring in mind il have a 70kit, polini filter and derestricted doppler s3r?
    thanks

if your going to get a 70 kit i wouldent bother getting a 17.5mm carb you should go all the way and get a 21mm carb it will save you money :D

and what jet size would you reccommend? as i would not even know where to start...
    thanks

    :w00t:

its because with a bigger carb it throws too much fuel into cylinder and it melts the barrel wall. :wtf:
