I'm considering getting a bigger scooter like a vxr200 or 180sp once I've passed my test next month. At first I thought of the two stroke 180 but then I started considering the VXR200 which should be more reliable and cheaper to run but apparently not as quick or as good at wheelies. It will be my main bike for a few weeks until I get a bigger one and then the scooter will be mainly used for commuting and fun in bad weather.

What do you think I should get for reliability and still some fun?

The VXR200 will last alot longer, and be more reliable, and they arnt slow either Ive had a 125 4 stroke skipper which is basiclly like piaggios version of a runner, that did 70mph clock speed after I had a garage service it, and fit a new exhaust. At first it didnt pass 60 lol because it had not been serviced for 2 years..
So the 200 would be alot faster and yea will be a good buy in my opinion!

If you can find a good con 180 go for it while you got the chance :p

For my job I usually get picked up (railway) but if I travel to the site, I will get more work. One of the main places is 10 junctions down the M6. Which one do you think would be best for this? I know the FXR would be quicker but if its gonna keep breaking down or needing a new plug its no good. My DNA 50 has been fine apart from a rusty exhaust blowing and a wire shorting out causing it to cut out.

I would say the vxr 200 for petrol

But I would say the 180sp is best as they both have around the same top speed but it has the grunt and quick bursts of power ideal for filtering ;)

Keep either bike maintained and they won't got wrong

I think I need to get one of the 180 2T's. Went to bassets pole last night and there was one (with an L plate but a 180 kit fitted) which would lift the front wheel at 50-60 and keep it up all the way down the road doing at least 70. Looks like great fun.
