hey all, wondering if someone would know anything about these? I have been looking at one on scooter-centre and was wondering... can they be used with an original skull cap like the lossi 172 head or is it a centre plug fitting meaning i would need to get the pm tuning billet skull, also are they bolt on and play or would i need to do anything else to set one up (i know i would need to check squish and set that up) or is there no point in getting one at all? Any info would be great, i dont know if im missing something simple so if its a stupid question sorry in advance Smile Cheers Callum
You can use them with the original skull cap... They are a higher compression head. Basically more power... You may need to change your jetting and other setup parts. As with all performance parts they normally mean more ware on parts, less mpg, etc etc. It's all fun when it comes to tuning!

used these for years, fuck pm. they use a thin plug and the one they come with is not resisted so you need to add an r to the plug and re order a replacment. dont kill o rings like the pm kits do and you can uswe the STOCK ones, nice an thick, made of something other than pissy red silicone.. but ye, identical gains to the pm head and you can use a nice plastic skull cap. plastic sheds its heat alot easier than metal hence piaggio changed over. people say "they burn out tho" if your water jacket melts its saving something else dying (like your cylinder) worth every penny
thanks alot for the reply minor, made my mind up now, i have the lossi 172 head on at the min but took a liking to the BGM, i have a metal skullcap on at the min aswell but got a plastic one in the shed. thanks again mate Callum
