Had a blast on a piaggio Beverly 350i demonstrator today - nice enough scoot however despite having more ponies than my current sym citycom 300i it did not seem significantly faster or more powerful than the sym - certainly a bit smoother however the piaggio was a brand new scoot - was not convinced with the piaggio windscreen nor the under seat storage - on the plus side it had ABS brakes and nice new tyres - I'm going to stick with my sym for a while longer - the piaggio comes with a two year warranty whereas all new sym scooters carry a three year warranty - my opinion is that the piaggio scooters are overpriced and that the sym range offers much better value for money with equivalent or better quality

how heavy is the 350 against the sym also I find most scoots don't give you enough room under the seat for a full face helmit

Unfortunately I have a big heid which entails an xl fitting on my preferred lid of choice which is a shoei - reckon I could have squeezed my lid in though stupidly I forgot to test that - the sales guy did place a full face lid in the Beverly and the seat closed with ease - regards weight I found the piaggio easy enough to ride at a snails pace - the balance of the piaggio was similar to my sym citycom - additionally the ease of placing it on the centre stand was tantamount to the sym - the side stand on the piaggio Beverly was very short compared to the sym - to be perfectly frank I preferred my current scoot to the Beverly - that's not to say the piaggio is not a good ride - as already stated it comes with abs and some form of stability control and it did look rather fetching to the eye - the Beverly demonstrator I rode only had 370 kilometres on the odometer and it was priced at £ 4100.00 which I think was negotiable

my opinion: piaggio is just over priced bad quality cheaply made bikes, hanging on to a brand name that died out years ago..... but thats my opinion....
