I took my now 90% complete MZ out today, after it's whole needing a new frame and speedo's thing, oh and the me breaking my leg thing, and it was pretty damn good, just pooped myself nearly the whole time, and even took a picture
Yep it still needs new indicators, the side panels nearly hanging off and the engine covers off, but ya, chronic.

it looks well? How do you find the power delivery with that exhaust on?

I know the mz fans really rate the standard systems for even power delivery

It makes it rev alot better and the power delivery is rather sudden but if the revs are kept up through the gears it goes like mad :p
I personally hate the standard exhaust, it's too long, looks ugly and sounds like an asthmatic :p

    some kind of launcher?,
Remember seeing those MZ exhausts with the long piece
of angle iron as a holder- prehistoric or what. :D .

Ticks over at 5k?. .,
Most of the strokers I used to run
    were 13/1600.,
tween 5-6 was where I used to keep them
    on the boil for most.mk. :) .

was just gonna say, it shouldnt be 5k for tickover.

Is the powerband of the pipe wide enough to keep it pulling without dropping off on gear changes? Was my pet hate on my old am6 engined bike. Ratios were far too wwide between first second and third. and only a 500rpm difference between 5th and 6th. daft lol

I know, it's daft, been meaning to sort the tick over out for ages
And yeah the power keeps coming through gear changes, but it's only got 4 gears anyway

Can't you use the old seat as a template?,
Or would the base be too insuitable?.

am6 motors are all like that, theres a big difffernce between a 50/70 and a 125cc bike, i ride a lot of 50cc am6 bikes at work.
my gt idled at roughly 3k (that was a twin with some custom porting and advanced timing). theres plenty of cafe seats on ebay, the best thing is to buy an old seat for your bike and use the pan and mounts to remould your own. gt cafe.jpg
