Does anyone know of or can recommend a type of bulb/reflector I could use on my Yamaha Neo´s 50 to give a better light and more even spread?

I live in the countryside and its pitch black at nights, so a better beam would be brilliant.

    Cheers,

    Jools :)

you could try getting a xenon bulb fitted to it, the xenon is a bright white light bulb so will give you better range in them dark road

Thanks Alex, I´ll check it out. Do you think a brighter bulb would also give a better spread of light (my lamps seem to through the light very patchy i.e. un-evenly)?

Tried a xenon bulb yesterdy and was very disappointed with the beam.Just doesnt illuminate unlit roads well enough. Good for oncoming traffic visibility though as there is quite a bit of glare off it. Best I have found for light is halogen without the blue filter.

    xenon was from amazon, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Vktech-Xeno...F8&qid=1376781908&sr=8-1&keywords=ba20d+xenon

for halogen just search for halogen on ebay and your bulb fitting type. Be forewarned, cheap chinese halogen bulbs are false economy. They just dont stand up to vibration and bumps like a more expensive one does. I went through 4 in a month on one bike, in two cases the glass actually shattered. the rest of the time one of the filaments would burn out..........

Thanks mate, I found a couple of options on ebay and will most certainly avoid chinese after your experience with them.
By the way, you recommend halogen without the blue filter but you sent me a link to a xenon with a blue filter, I´m a bit puzzled

That´s fine ;), I found a couple on ebay that I´m considering buying. When I do I´m going to do a test and take pictures and videos of the tests, if anyone wants to actually see the difference in a real world scenario.
