I have had my Dragster 180 for several months now, done about 3000km, split equal between standard and modified. When i purchased the Dragster it was standard except for a foam air filter and the previous owner said the carby was upjetted by 10%. It performed well, started first kick of the starter every time, and pulled about 8200rpm on the flat, although I felt it may have been a little bit rich but left it alone. I have now fitted a malossi head, malossi ignition, PM59 pipe, PWK28 carby, Polini belt, green clutch springs and 13.7 rollers. The carby has JJH needle set position 2, 42 slow jet and 155 main jet. The scooter generally sits on either 80kph (50mph) or 100kph (63mph), with a small amount of 60kph (38mph). Max revs are up slightly to 8400, however fuel consumption is better, approximately an extra 35ks (bit over 20 miles) per tank of fuel. Fuel consumption is just on 25 ks per litre (just on 70mpg). If I give it a bit of a flogging then consumption drops a fair bit. How does this compare with other forum members dragsters. regards,
the old owner didnt jet it correctly hence used more fuel i dont think anyone cares about mpg on here tbh, mines around 20 on my 70cc
yeah, fuel consumption would be the last consideration when buying a dragster, I was just surprised at how good it was for a 2T scooter.
well, why tune a scoot if you worry about fuel consumption.. its still good for a VEHICLE at full throttle everywhere. the way i see it anyway. LOL its all about burning more fuel..low mpg is a GOOD thing
Thats some impressive fuel consumtion, how the hell you manage that? when I had 4x 36mm's I couldnt get them to drink that much....must be a 2 stroke/crazy porting/full throttle everywhere thing??
Think we might have this nailed ,doing a few calculations 1/4 mile ,then i do about 8 miles per galon ,and are hopeing to bring this down even more by the end of the year ,green or what?
bejesus going to kelso last year me dragster drank 65 quid in fuel wer cheaper to go in the car oh yeah full chat al da way unk:
