best way to seal the crankcases.

    what the best way of sealing the crankcases after fitting a new crank and also how could you tell if it wasnt fitted properly i am not intending to fit mine but just wondering tbh. and want to make sure the shop do it proberly

    put em in a jiffy bag, rip the plastic bit then close the envolope once its sealed send to:

    baked beans, or you could goto yout local garage/halfords whatevers closest and buy some liquid gasket? its only a few £
    id try baked beans first though. :)

    I thought you held them in place with gaffer tape and dip it in cement?

    i thought maybe putting it in a bowl of water then in the freezer, defo heard sum1 talkin about freezin the cases

    t bag ur bollocks thru the inltet, bolt the casses to gether, then try and get ur bollocks back out, if u can then its not sealed properly

    na on a serious note now

    push the cases together and seal with mastik

    should last for a good 3 years if done properly

    if mastik fails use the good old hard as nails.

    works a treat

    LOL talk about bodge. never use silicone mate. it will work but isnt good. use semi hardening gasket sealant.
