Hi just fitted a technigas next r exhaust to my scoot after old exhaust fell off lol. Its the more expensive chrome version. I keep my bike garaged but use it in all weathers. Is their anything I can do to keep it looking nice? Many thanks.

Best way is probably to plaster it in the thickest most glutinous axle grease. Have you ever noticed how they never rust where they are covered in oil ?

a regular wipe down with WD40 on a cloth and then spray it with WD. If done frequently the exhaust stands a chance of making it through the winter. I used to do the chrome Allspeeds on the 350LC I had. That was used all year too and the pipes still looked good when I sold the bike several years later

I have seen others coat the pipes with waxoil regularly. Its not wiped off between coatings...just more added on top. It leaves a dark thick film over the chrome...doesnt look pretty but saved the finish for the spring when it can be cleaned off with white spirit and polished up with autosol

I spray WD40 on the exhaust and wipe it with a cloth on a hot exhaust straight after i park it. i tried different things on my old exhaust and they don;t work that well as WD40.
