best stuff to clean the crank case?

does anyone know any good stuff or sprays or chemicals or whatever, that i could use to clean up the crankcase?( not polish it because ill just be cleaning the visile bits, like near the rear caliper) imp:



because its starting to go a bit horrible lol

autosol works as well

 

I used 'wonderwheels' a sort of acid based stuff...



Brush it on and 'agitate' it with a rough brush, Go and boil the kettle...



Make sure all of its off or it goes very oxidised.



Use the hot water to get it off...



That gets rid of most of the cack anyway, Scotchbrite from there on to get them clean imp:

 

brake cleaner and a wire brush

 

^ what he said + autosol, with a quick job you can get a near mirror finish on it.
