hi all. asked the guy who i got the runner off and thought he had changed the drivebelt

doesnt seem like its been done at all in its life and top end is poor. revs its tits off though

got some 13,5 rollers to go in but want to know whats the best belt to match the malossi variator.

think theres a few different types of malossi belt, what about the extra tooth on the 180s. does that mean if i got a standard belt i would need to run a 125 belt with the malossi variator as the variators more like a 125 one or a 180 belt which is slightly longer

confusing i know, thats why i need help

whats best what one type shall i use

    cheers

belt length is down to rollers used.. jus stick with 125 rollers and 125 amlossi belt. thought all the malossi's were the same length tbh.

the bikes got 20/17 15.5 grams in

i have some 13.5 grams to go in so i dont really want to pay for another set of rollers if possible.

terro what are you running with your malossi variator. if all is lost i will do just that

    cheers

terro has a pm and around the 13 mark if i remember correctly. around a 106 jet

useless for you tho tbh.. try the rollers you have.. altho it may be the 180 rollers nockin the pull at bottom speeds..(wouldent rev that high tho if this were the case)

just bang the lot together as you get it m8, easier to see what's working and what isnt.

if it is a 180 with a malossi 125 belt they have a tendency to slip.
if you have a spare 125 variator just give that a try.

the best belt i ever tried was made by ATHENA,i found it better than the malossi belts.

but as always, Minor is on the ball :)

i was thinking along the line for my 180, malossi variator with 12.5 or 12 gram rollers, 25mm carb, malossi belt, pm59 on a 108 jet and stiffer clutch springs

That was my exact setup (had green clutch springs)..and I wouldn't change a thing about it if I was to do it again.

    Good choice :punk:

id lean it out a little... if it doesent like it bang the roller weight up slightly.. 108 on a wc in a 25 seems a tad big.. leaner is faster :D

had the bits fitted today. it revs much more cleaner. there is no drop is revs through the rev range now

when i see it go fuck me does it look quick. when riding it it feels quick enough too until sort of 50 then it feels deadish (no speedo so this speed maybe higher)

when im onit it seems to struggle against things it should be beating easily

ill see if i can get a video within the week. i definitely need stiffer clutch springs now though you can feel it with the lighter rollers
