I want to get a 125 scooter, because lets face it, most geared 125's are 4 stroke and only go 70-75mph anyway, and i can have a bit more fun with a 2 stroke. And truth is, i cant afford a car.

Anyway, i wondered what everyone would suggest buying? i need a bike that has a large catalogue of parts available, to tune and style accordingly. it also has to be able to be 172-kitted (or roughly 172cc, if other big bore kits exist), and when tuned must out-do a 125 geared.

Any ideas? i know runners are good. Perhaps a dragster? any other ideas? what would you go for? :confused:cratch:

id love to have an aerox 125, but they only make 100's if im correct?

My personal favs are typhoons and gilera runner 2 strokes loads of parts available you can even get bodykits for the gilera runners I own a gilera I love it but its down to looks and size typhs are abit smaller and are air cooled(easier to work on as no coolent or water pump to fuck up) unless been converted to lc and runners are a little bulkier and liquid cooled but just as much fun I know dragsters are quick when tuned as same engine as the runner just hate the single front suspension arm lol but they have a wide Market of parts to choose from to hope this helps

You could allways go to projects and check out say terros typhs then the monster energy gilera runner they should help ya choose

1 word...Typhoon. Parts are easy to come by used and new and they share most parts with the NRG. Ive had a Dragster which at the time panels and bits were too hard to come by not to mention expensive. Iffy electrics on the Aprilia SR 125, runner bit too big and too many panels to replace in an off. Typh

thank you for the advice, im tempted by a runner, because then i could invest in re-panelling it, if i get a poor condition one. theres also a lot of parts available. but are these not theived all the time? :/
i like typhoons but how much would one be to buy?

All 125 2 strokes get stolen a lot in citys. In Guildford however you should be fine.

hmm i hope so, i guess you just have to make sure your insurance covers the cost of the bike incase it does get nicked

dont be sos ure... guildford has a chav community all of its own.. seems ANY town/city in england with a kfc will more than liukely be a not so safe place for a runner/typh...

but ye, anything wiht the piaggio based hy per2 125 engine (so runners, typhoons, hexagon (dont laugh) skipper 2t, sr 125, dragster) nothing else will ever come close to one of these scoot wise
