im thinking at some point im gunna get myself killed, may aswell do it on a slower bike so i can enjoy my death abit longer nah im only small and think ill only end up dropping something bigger, plus at the moment i have a ramp to get it into my back yard, nothing heavy will get up it with me pushing it. i gave myself some nasty cramp in my leg when i got my steps dads 125 (size of a 250) off its side stand. so im being realisti. oh and as i like filtering id rather it was abit smaller and nimbler to weave about abit if need be
A lot of it's down to self confidence in regards to proper technique!, Get that last bit mind - diamond piece of quote!!!! . .
well you cant beat some home made L plates i know there only cheap. but i had all the bits i needed so spent half hour making them up and yes i know ill probably get pulled for the front on, but meh
Still not getting it!, 'peeps should wear they're 'L' plates proper with pride, Looking forward to the day You Get Rid Of Them!!. .
i didnt think a full size plate on the front would actually have something to hold on to, plus i ran out of plastic sheet and i dont have any white vinyl looking like i may be buying a house late this year/early next year so not sure when ill be doing the test, but yup cant wait for the moment the Ls go. also thinking rather than a2 just do the full Direct access, ill jsut have to go to a dealer and see if i can manouver a 600
Lill tip:- When you're on a big un,stock still, mildly do a side-to-side motion, helps to acclimatise to the weight, light think fore you act/otherwise bike has control due to weight.
Ohh,an practice on a friends bike as they can be more forgiving-worst case would be a cple 2nd hand bits, dealers not! - if they wanted to get narky 'bout ....new bits/ouch.
unfortunatly i dont know anyone with anything bigger than a 125, only my step dad with a 125 the size of a 250. was fun getting it off its side stand but once up was okay to ride about on
If dealers then, take someone with you who's clued up 'bout you moving up in the weight division an you being unsure 'bout being abke to handle, Just don't tell dealer too much 'bout this as he may try to bump you onto something 'smaller', therefore retarding your desired progress, Gotta go.ciao.mk.
been checking insurance quotes on a 250, and with a years no claims its what im paying this year for the 125. so i think get the test done next year (no rush will do one bit at a time) then move up once i get my first years ncb next august, will give me abit of time to save up
right, back from me hols, first job fit the ignition barrel, once wired up it worked fine cutting the electrics, but had no bearing on the engine. so wired it up to the wiring for my kill switch and it work. so gotta tidy it up and heat shrink it all after dinner so its nice and tidy. next job, the day before i went on holiday i noticed the bike clicked when i rolled it. think its the chain. and presume its time to change it
as a rule ALWAYS change the sprockets the same time as your chain and always make sure the chain is properly tensioned
new development, took it out for the first time since i got back from holiday, indicators stopped working they were fine for the first 2 turns then once i accelerated they went off and havent worked since
