well ive been out on the new carb as it started up with no probs.ive got the other problems still..(slow speed and the coughing)speed wise it picks up and goes the same as on the old carb,thinking im gonna have to check the filter and play with the mixture screw and see if that helps..so im getting there...gonna have to do the tappets too as now its running slower i can hear them ticky tacking.so ive got a new plug,carb and a full tank so im good to go if i can sort the coughing out.

oooh that smoke dont half burn my arse..cheers for the vote of confidence...but this bugger kinda beat me,or rather the continual removing of the panels got me to the point of screaming and trembling thinking bout taking them off again...but ive gotta do it again anyway to do the tappets..but itle be the front one so not so bad..the air screw has been adjusted and the air filter has been checked but it had a bit of a wet water pooling at the entry point for the air so im guessing its sucking in a bit of moist air and muffing it up plus the grill mesh inlet is a bit bunged/crudded up..cba to do anything bout it today so tomorrow is a new day.might have a look in the variator too if the mood takes me..

cant keep me down...i get knocked down...but i get up again...nobody gonna keep me down..tempted to get a bolt on KN style filter and get rid of the whole airbox thing..
