Only been into scooter's since O12,on my 3rd now- during that time.as of yet/yet to replace a belt,it is however, always good to think ahead.. could someone explain to me the differences and what'd be a best fit:- standard, race, commuting, kevlar, long, short, etc., most of my riding, will be on an untuned 100 about 10-15 off top-end (C50 mph) & a fair bit of 'blasting' on rat-runs with the occasional straight ., Ta,mark.
id go for a mallosi Kevlar belt, theyre durable, not prone to breaking, may be a bit overkill BUT they really are worth the money. ive had them on 3 of my standard scooters and love them.
Plus one for scootmadness. But be advised - you may need to add washers to the variator slider as the kevlar belts tend to be thicker. In fact anybody who wants to faff with transmissions needs lots of rollers and lots of Top Perf washers. http://www.google.fr/imgres?imgurl=...r=1305&page=1&start=0&ndsp=24&ved=0CCMQrQMwAQ
Further research methinks.., still working out fitment of spannie & don't know how that performs yet best......... .
