if u have read any of my other posts ...my belt snapped and ruined my crank so i had to take the electric start out and put the variotor further back this means te variatori isnt 100% in line with the clutch

so i fitted the belt and it seems to be ok but it there is a little piece of string on the side of the belt and you can see it coming off is this normal ... i never actually watched a new belt running so wouldnt know what it does it is totally brand new and is a malossi kevlar x belt

No its not normal it will wear unevenly and perform badly if the variator and clutch aren't in line

Yeah if its a brand new belt and threads are coming off so soon I wouldn't expect it to last long at all

If its just a bit far back you could just put a couple of washers on if you knew the right position
