    Hi.

I have just had new discs and pads fitted, do I have to bed them in, if so how many miles should I take it steady for?

Well I'd say at least the first 50-100 miles. I've just done mine but they were shockingly crap at first til they started to bed in. Just be careful and use your judgement really and try build up the braking gradually

Yeh they will take some bedding in, some people "rough up" the brake pads with sand paper before fitting as this helps speed up the bedding in process.

Just dont go slamming the brakes on at first, use them gentally for the first few rides then start braking harder & get some heat into the disc's.

Nice one, thanks for the info. Think ill go for the easy option of just gentle breaking, don't fancy removing the the pads and sanding I would just screw it up some how.

you have cleaned the disc surface first with brake cleaner?? most discs come with some sort of protectant on them to stop them rusting up.

I had them fitted at a garage so they will have cleaned them.
