So i got my ped running sweet hooked up lights and stuff whenever i turn on lights the engines almost dies and dies at traffic lights sometimes yes i could turn up the carb but that wouldnt be solving the problem my battery is throwing out 12volts solid but goes down to about 5 when lights are on is my battery not holding charge also even after an hour run there isnt enough charge to start the engine via electric start?
sounds like your stator is faulty...or you regulator/rectifier :glare: would also be worth making sure you havent got a dodgy earth (you can add an extra earth to be sure) and also worth checking the battery leads arent dodgy
lights are really dim When i rev the bike they go really bright going to do some testing with voltage meter tomorrow Thanks dave, :thumbsup:
With voltage test on main leads going to battery (while connected) it reads 12volts while off, turn it on goes down to 11... if i rev it it goes up to 13-14 indicating the peds charging system works fine as its putting out more voltage when higher revs the bike New battery next
