well, i took my scooter and 70kit.. to be fitted at my local shop.. and its had to stay there over night as the barrel is leaking, they said they have to take the barrel off and seal it, and if that doesnt work then the barrel is useless, he said all the pipes are connected right nd shit, nd just the barrel is leaking, what to do you guys think, coz im pissed off, i took it in a 10:00 today, and ive gotta ring 2mrrw at 10:00!!!

right the kit + exhaust have been fitted, the guy who fitted it said that the gasket on the kit was thin.. so he was unsure about it, it was a DR kit.. but he says thats the reason, im a bit worried though as on the temp gauge on the runner, its moving up nd down all the time, with the 50kit on it didnt.. any shed any light on the topic or is that usual? bear in mind its not run in yet....

I fitted a polini 70 kit to my Runner last weekend!!

It was fairly straightforward, and i am currently running mine in :D

must admit my temperature guage isnt acting strangely like yours..
just be carefull yours doesnt get too hot..

The guage will take longer to go up especially on a cold morning because
there is no thermostat fitted on most big bore kits!!

    what is yours doing??

its just rising abit.. the water gauge.. like it doesnt go above half way.. but still.. i havent even ran it in yet, also with my kit apparently the gasket is thin... is that bullshit or?

oh so your saying your needle is only rising a bit compared to where it
    normally sits!!!

That seems ok...thats what mines doing!!

its because there is no thermostat fitted in your head...you dont have one on a kit, so the engine takes longer to warm up because the water is now circulating all the time :D

As for the gasket problem....not sure mate.
my gaskets seemed fine...but i fitted polini so not sure about D.R gaskets!!
