Hi all, i'm gonna be buying this from my lad who is currently 15 to do up for his 16th birthday.
    http://scootershack.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=18761

The only problem is that it has a 70cc kit fitted. Now all well and good i hear you say, hes a big lad and needs all the power he can get. The problem is his mum, my ex wife will nail my balls to the wall if she finds out ive bought him a bike that he is very illegal on at 16.
So i am going to fit a 50cc kit to it, but like i said he needs all the power he can get, being new to the scooter scene myself (bin riding bikes for 33 years) i dont know who to contact to get a nice tune on the barrels and head, Who is the Scooter worlds "Stan Stephens"?
I will be keeping the 70cc kit in the garage in plain veiw, if he wants to nick it and fit it to his scoot himself thats up to him, at least i didnt fit it and he can face the wrath of his Mother when he gets caught, on his own.

    Cheers.

try the search next time mate as i posted this exact same topic a couple of weeks back., but yeah
the guy your looking for is "minor confusion" hes 1 of the admins on here. search 4 him in the search box and then private mail him and see what he's saying. I think you should accidentally get the 70cc barell ported though  ...

Like i said, i cant give him a moped at 16 that isnt actually a moped.

I'll try to get in touch with minor confusion, suppose i'd better find a new 50cc head and barrel from somewhere.

hmm i know what your saying but you know full well he's eventually going to put the 70cc kit on so i don't see the point of spending 70 odd pound to get the 50 barell ported...
each to there own though mate :good:

edit: have you bought the bike already?

Not yet, hope to pick it up next weekend, when he gets back to me to confirm.

£70 odd quid to get the barrel ported? Sounds cheap? Having never seen this guys work have you any idea of the quality?

Hes Great at what he does tbh. he has one of my cylinders at the moment...
im not sure at the price mine was more than that but it is a 172 cylinder...but yeah should be around that price buy you'll have to PM him.
by the way a scooter is no longer a "moped" if it's de-restricted lol
i.e. its illegal for him to ride it with the current mods anyways even if the 50barell is put on...
Is the suzuki a personal favourite or is it just because its there at the moment because..Piaggio's are better quality/more tunable. better engine..easier to find parts etc. if you have the choice Piaggio all the way! you can get a zip or nrg for near enough that price.

my advice would be buy a stamping kit and stamp it 49cc, no one is going to bother doing a displacement test on it.
