seen tonns of projects n hardly any one who paints or coats there wheels balances them after or i assume they dont i dont see any weights? do i have to balnce my wheels now theyve been blasted and painted i assume all wheels should be balanced as no wheels is ever perfectly round when casted ?
yes you can balance scooter wheels, but hardly anyone bothers, and its quite hard finding a tyre centre who will do it.... a lot of car orientated tyre centres refuse to even fit scooter tyres, even if you remove the wheel yourself :glare:
I've never seen balanced 10" rims... As for other sizes then yeah. Plenty of runner and NRG wheels with weights on them. My good tyre shop didn't see a need to put any weight on my typhoon wheels after they were powder coated but has put them on larger wheels i've taken to them.
Just depends on if they are out of balance really? I can't think of any logical reason why a smaller wheel wouldn't need to be balanced. Basically you should have them checked no matter what. Any proper bike tyre shop should balance wheels every time they fit a tyre.
he said he cant ballance the front propperly coz the spacer is floating and itd need to be removed coz theres give in it but he said he took the blatent spot out .rear wasnt a problem but yh balanced painted and on pics to follow ima make a project page. thanks brethrin
If you are always exceeding 50mph for a long time then get them balanced, you normally wont notice un-balanced wheels untill 80+mph but it'll knock out the wheel bearings faster if your doing 50+ all the time with unbalanced wheels. Plus tyre wear and ride comfort is better with balanced wheels. I had a runner 180 4T, and flat out it was vibrationey as fuck (80mph clock speed). I needed new tyres and had the wheels balanced at the same time it costed an extra 15 quid, and afterwards the crazy vibrations were gone and it was alot smoother to ride. I think I even gained 1 or 2mph topend. Well worth doing if you have to hang at high speeds for a long time!
