So I recently bought a spanny for my ped and noticed a blob of weld in a random part of the expansion chamber that had been done from the inside, and a matching blob on the other side, I had a look around and found that the Leo Vince TT has random blobs of weld on them too; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEO-VINCE...77?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item53eecd4e99 Here's mine; My first guess is that it's some sort of baffle to stop the turbo effect that spannies give when the engine comes on song, but I'm not sure, does anyone know what these welds attatch or has a knackered TT or anything lying around and wouldn't mind cutting it to find out? ps; sorry that the picture's massive (n)
theres usually cones inside to redirect the pressure waves back towards the head. These waves if timed right scavenge unburnt fuel in the cylinder to help make more power and alter the characteristics of the power delivery. Altering the length of the chamber, the length of the front pipe before it reverses towards the rear of the bike and diameters all make a huge difference on a 2 stroke
i had a leovince zx and that is what i've done ;P just had laying around so i thought ill give it a try and it did give me a nice power kick on my 70's when jetted with open air filter and different rollers
DO NOT DO THIS lol my zx has the baffle removed and it is so so loud yes it adds power but omg its noisy
