Hey guys...after running the tits off my nitro home from exams...About 17 KM at WOT I pull up the driveway, remove my pip protector (helmet) And switch it off...about 3 seconds later after the motor has stopped I hear a final puff......like pfffffttt........from the exhaust .I was thinking that the rings could be worn and isn't holding the pressure in the system? It runs like it should though so I don't know. I just got the scooter 2nd hand so it's still standard. Shot Guys! dyl
sounds like rich idle mix igniting in the exhaust once it runs off... reset the idle mix and check the choke.. reeds are worth a look too
theres no golden setting.. just a rough starting point.. try from half a turn out and see what it revs/rests like when hot.. read through the guide.. should give you an idea (REALLY do need to do a more indepth guide)
Try what Minor suggested 1st... And if theres no improvement, it May need a decoke... if its been run on cheap 2 stroke oil the excess carbon heats up on the top of the piston and combustion chamber causing run on when you switch the engine off. This run on problem isnt such a problem these days with modern oils, but some people do use cheap supermarket 2T oil.
