    Ayup all, another new 'un here. :mrgreen:

    I haven't been riding scoots for that long tbh, not a full year; Started on a wee 50cc Speedy, which frankly is/was a nail - I'm not gonna bullsh/t & freely admit didn't know very much at the time since before that I'd only ridden 50 & 80 suzuki plags round our local quarry, oh and of course lots of Road Rash on the megadrive (essential experience I'm sure you'll agree ;)).

    Slowly did the speedy up to get it road-worthy & looking semi-nice, but in the end it just didn't have enough go - I'd assumed at the time because I'm quite small, a 50 would be a nice compromise between "enough" power, and dirt-cheap insurance - but my again lack of ped-sperience was a problem - I kind of live out in the sticks & all the long A-roads you need to take to get anywhere worth mentioning are a sod on a 50, I had to give it full throttle 95% of the time I was on it & of course that's not good news..

    So in the end, rather than try to polish a turd (actually that's a bit unfair, I do like the wee speedy for town-centre stuff, it's just not practical for what I needed) I went & picked up an 02-plate DNA 125 from a local dealer a few weeks back (2nd-hand of course but with all full service history & prev MOTs, etc..) for day-in-day-out commuting & work, etc..

    Tbh it's like a completely different world - I know many folk on the internet aren't too keen on DNAs, but I love it - it has it's flaws I suppose like any bike but for what I need it's pretty-much perfect (apart from I'd like more power but hey don't we all ;)).

    Speedy when I first got it;

    Speedy after re-assembly & a spray-job;

    Speedy after fixing it up, after I crushed it against the back of our garage with the Corsa; :rofl:

    (yes that's the offending car..)

    DNA when I got it/as of now;

    Christ, a lot of pics there, but yeah that's about it really.
    I've actually be reading these forums for quite a while, for various bits of info but though I oughta do the decent thing & join up.

    Catch you later all & HF. :)

    Cheers Matt, Gilly - actually the thing's mostly sold off now - I sold the bodykit to one lad last week, & got decent fella coming to collect the speedy frame next week, with it's 50-engine & a lone 100 lump that was going to go in it this summer.

    Be a shame to see it go tbh.
