Hi I could do with this info as well. Im tiding up a zip framed nrg engined moped and I cant find the wires on the loom for the auto choke.Any idea what colour they are and where they come out of loom .or can I just connect one side of choke to a live and other to an earth,if so will it make choke stay on fulltime.

According to the electrical schematics for 50 2T both Piaggio 5 and 8 pin regulator types have the auto choke control originating from pin 1 of the regulator.

The wire colour is GREY, you should see 12 volts AC present on this pin only while the engine is running.

Use a volts meter (set to read AC volts) between the GREY wire and chassis to confirm you have got the right wire in the loom.

50cc 2T Piaggio engines with Dell PHVA 17.5 have their auto choke designed to run on AC volts only.
