Sounds like its not been fitted correctly. Too much stress on the bracket

The guy who it’s now gone to as a Vespa scooter shop, he’s been doing scooters for 30+ years. So surely he should know what he’s doing

    The bracket weld came away

Thats a construction fail. Poor quality control. I thought it was where it mounted to the bike it broke.
These days so many bike parts are made cheap

Welds breaking on the Technigas Q-Tre exhausts is very common. I had one blow a hole straight through it with one month, around the welded area.
When you went from the original to the aftermarket exhaust, did the mechanic up-jet the carb to match the pipe? Would explain the slowness.

The bracket can be welded again, not a major problem. It's a minor inconvenience although I understand your frustration with it.
The problem, as scubabiker said, is in the cheap construction of it.

    Get a silent pro.
Looks stock, good power gain, and doesn't make your bike stupid loud.

That’s cheaper than the molossi wild lion? Cheap just puts me off

Guy who’s fitting it recommended wild lion. Need to get one ordered today for sr50r Aprilia

idk if cheap works it works

the guy fitting it will want the easiest job or know u can pay more probs

still if u want to spend more or want a non-stock look, guess it's good

I'll second the silent pro, fitted quite a few, all the power, half the noise

    Yup.
The Q-Tre has really gone downhill the last 2 or 3 years, hence why they are so cheap now. And the "chrome" is so thin it's a joke. They rust like hell inside of 6 months. Better to stick with the self colour ones, you can just wallop it over with high temp black spray whenever it needs it.
