Hi, I fitted a Malossi Sport 70cc kit on my 2005 LC SR50 R...and it struggles to get to 30mph occasionally can do 40mph...eventually and I can only move the the throttle about 1/3rd back with out it bogging out. I am running a 17.5mm DElorto Carb (Standard) 4.3g Malossi Rollers Leo Vinci TT Exhaust I think a 70 Carb Jet Malossi Air Filter Any ideas to make it work appreciated? I think it might be because I haven't ran it in yet (Its done 110 miles) Or should I put the standard airbox back on? Or maybe its the carb jets? I think i have a 70 carb jet in but I bought a set of 53,60,62,65,68,70,72,75,78,80 and 82. Please help any advice appreciated (I have looked through the forums for about 20-30mins but no luck)
I had a similar problem once, found a faulty fuel vacuum line. Not saying that's it but worth a look over and make sure they are all secured and without holes/cracks.
Thanks Sr50 Update I realised I had a 82 jet in there...i put the standard air box on but it still bogged out, i selotaped the pipe that came out the air filter, and now it flys kept up with a subaru impreza to 20mph, but the top speed is only 47mph? Could this be because I haven't ran it in yet? But I've done 180 miles on it about 80 miles with the standard airbox on. I find the top speed a bit strange as previously with my sports exhaust on i got about 55mph? Any suggestions what could be the problem? Thanks
Clutch springs and varator spring, have you changed them? With my piggy setup, I am using a 72 jet, with the 17.5mm carb, orginal airbox, and molossi air sponge....Get a red Molossi sponge, it did wonders on my scoot..... 82 is too high with your airbox, and too low with an open filter.....
running in doesn't affect carb setup or transmission setup, and thats what the problem is.... with an airbox on bout 58-64 main jet and about 5g rollers probably 5.5g and stronger clutch springs with air filter (firstly change the mudguard, or you will be drenching the air filter in shit off the road AND water when wet) but aroung 4.5g rollers stronger clutch springs and bout 90 main jet there sum ideas to work on....
