Basically the back end feels like it isn't attached to the front, took it into my loacal bike shop and he told me it was the engine out job so he would charge 70 quid. So I was just wondering is it a big job and could I be able do it myself as I rebuilt the whole bike my self but never touched the frame work bit, or is he over charging me!
Hey, sorry to jump onto your thread and start a conversation. But i have joined here today to find help/information myself, Does the bike feel okay in acceleration as my bike feels like that and is like juddering hard when i let of the gas! Cheers my friend!
yes thats exactly whats doing, although it isnt losing that much acceleration but it does seem to make a difference, also when i go round a corner it feels like the front ends going one way and im going the other aha
That's exactly my problem, but when I let of the gass there is a huge knocking sensation through out the bike, do you get this? & also I will take my bike to my local dealers and see what they charge & get back to you on that one. All thought where I go is £40 an hour, so I can imagine another huge bill .
depends if you feel confident taking out the engine £70 is not bad, remembering that they charge a decent amount per hour for repairs i just had mine done, it did feel like the back end was all over the place, very scary to ride edit: sr's are mopeds
http://www.shiny-red.net/installation-a-repairs-user5-88/46-removal-and-fitting-of-engine-bushes If you feel up too it, this pretty much shows you what you got to do.
Sr's are totally different when it comes to engine mounts. They are a complete pain in the arse and the labour charge is easily about right. It will take you a lot longer than they will be charging you for. Also polly bushes are completely useless and retarded. Why anyone would fit such things is pure madness.
They are air cooled piaggio engines but with an insane mounting system that includes solid engine bushes so you don't actually replace anything on the engine when repairing their engine bushes.
