Aprilia rs50 lights

Is it normal for the head lights to be on when you switch on the ignition. Without the engine being on as I've read in the manual that on the rs50 the lights are only on when the engine is on

 

no but they will be wired to the ignition ...nothing wrong with that id say its a bonus

 

if theres not a switch to turn them off on the bars its ok for the lights to be on with the ignition only without the engine running. Obviously if theres a switch you then have the option of turning them off. I prefer to ride with my lights on at all times so the blind volvo drivers still have something to aim for
