Right everyone, looking for some help as I am drawing a blank on this!
Was riding along when I heard a quite loud pop which I initially thought was the rear tyre. Looked down but the tyre was fine so carried on for about 300 yards when I slowed down for a roundabout. As soon as I slowed, the bike cut out and would not start again.
I have changed the plug and the cap but still nothing. I checked the spark but there is none at all. The bike turns over but simply will not start.
I have had the dubious pleasure of stripping the bodywork off the bike to check the coil and all the electric connections and everything looks fine.
So I am now stumped and looking for ideas from someone who knows more than me (which is probably everyone!)
    Any suggestions muchly appreciated.
    Jon.

Thanks for the reply. Compression seems fine but I will have a look at the stator, thanks for that.
