Hi to everyone from Croatia. I have Area51 for some time now, and I finally decided to put some more power to it and I hope that I will get help from fellow members in this project. This is current situation. Long story short, I repainted it and replace crankshaft due to crankshaft failure. I decided to rebuild most of the system because currently I have some issues. Coolant is leaking on full throttle and sometimes engine loses power when I open throttle. Current setup: All stock, except: TopPerformances crankshaft Malossi Multivar Gianelli GO I bought Malossi MHR Replica, Yasuni C16 city, Dellorto 19 and some more parts. Ill put some more pictures later.
Going further with disassembly. Rubber parts are in bad shape after 18 years. I noticed that I lose coolant at full throttle and now I know why. I tried to assemble Yasuni C16 city, and it would be tricky. Disassembled:
Wow, was it very noisy from the waterpump like that? Cool project, don't see many of those around. Is tuning scooters illegal in Croatia too? Here in Norway its like 500 euro fine if you are caught (even if you have a licence for unrestricted motorcycle)
I didnt hear anything from pump. I noticed only that coolant missing. I suppose that water leaked only when I was driving. Yes, tuning is illegal. 50ccm scooters and mopeds aren't allowed to drive faster than 45km/h. When we go to registering facility(Sorry I don't know english name/word) they put scooters on dyno and measure speed. Anything that go faster than 45 km/h fails test. Additional, speed curve on graph needs to bi smooth. Last year I failed first time because speed curve wasn't "nice" In that time of the year we put blockage on variator, carburetor and throttle and we hope for the best. In last 10 years scooter tuning and scooter racing scene went to mud due to regulations and general bad state in country. Forums are nearly dead too.
Norway isn't that strict, but we have very similar rules. I think its stupid. I own a sportsbike, yet I can't legally ride a moped over 45kmh...
Never been to Croatia...….yet. What are the roads like? The roads here are terrible - full of potholes and so on. Bad for cars, and not only bad but also potentially dangerous for bikes. I imagine better in Croatia as less population, less vehicles = less traffic.
Some parts arrived. Some are good, some are not. Population really don't matter, maintenance is the key Highways are great, country roads are ok, city roads depends.
Bitch quit you whining. The UK roads are like silk. Ever wonder why I run dirt tyres on my sportsbike? I can go down my street and find potholes the size of my arm. Not to mention that the UK actually has motorways. My nearest motorway is 2 hours away.... Back to this thread.... Awesome stuff going on there, that exhaust looks loud.
Seriously though when I last went through rural north Norfolk the potholes were the size of swimming pools no word of a lie. The roads in Norway are a billion trillion times better is what I heard!
I'm from the UK, I grew up in Peterborough... Trust me, the UK roads ain't that bad. What pisses me off though is the taxes we all pay to use roads, yet they are all in various states of disrepair. I mean through all of Europe, UK, France, Germany, Denmark. Everywhere is the same
Crazy. Everyone too concerned about Brexit then the real things in life that need fixing. Anyway I won't mention that word again lol
That's pretty cool really. Can't stand speed humps anyway but that another subject entirely. Don't get me started!
Some beautiful roads in Croatia, bike trip a few years ago, 14 of us. Belgian roads are good as well, you can see the seam in the road where you cross the border back into france, tarmac gets crappy again
Further I go with disassembly, gets better and better :/ I think that I disassemble engine in last moment before bigger disaster.
I finally disassemble casing, cleaned them and rebuild water pump due to leak problem. I made some modifications on engine casing due to difference between casing and cylinder block.
