applying for v5

    can anyone tell me how i send off for a v5
    and can i check if a bike is wrote off or stolen without the reg and v5

    you have to go to the post office or local DVLA and fill a form out with a fee of £25 i think it is? and no you dont need a V5 for a HPI check, most companys do a HPI check on a vehicle before they do work on them (unless its because they know im dodgy around here) :w00t:

    1. get a v5 logbook aplication form off the dvla website

    2. not really without paying.

    1) get form v62 off the net
    2) give me the reg number of the bike and ill do you an hpi check.

    theres no plate its a frame i was gonna use
    so anyway i can do it with just the frame num ?

    have to contact the DVLC (not dvla) and have it machine inspected.

    when i got arrested for driving with a bikes listed as "spares or repairs" on a public field, they checked my frame number and asked one of their officers to check it at the station. so maybe you can do it by police station?

    i had a sr50 with no V% or number plate, i went through hell with DVLA nothing they could do i would of had to re-register it and paid loads of cash, so i stripped it and bought a 52 plate that needed tlc and put my shot on it :rofl:

    email dvla i emailed them for a reg number for a runner all i had was the vin number
