Considering flogging this or contacting a 'we buy salvage bikes' company but just wondering what i might get for it if anyone knows or could possibly tell me if there is such a company around barnsley area? Gilera Runner ST125 (new model) Light front end damage rides fine, to my untrained eye it just looks like it needs the front fairings lights and foot rest plastic replacing. But anyones welcome to view it. April 2008 08 plate with only 600 miles on the clock! b4 the accident
doesn't look too bad to me, id still ride it like that if it's not an insurance job lol. just buy the new panels and lights and keep it mate, probs earn alot more that way.
I'm considering that but if i could flog it for a reasonable amount it would be good, I looked at the 'insurance approved' repairers report / quote last night and as you can imagine they have hiked the prices up to fix it (not that i'm bothered cos insurance have given me the money) But 1 of the items was a stick on vinyl L plate and the quoted £5!!! They must make a friggin fortune! hA Anyway if i get it repaired ill be able to get it done for well less than half what they quoted
tbh any scoot that has had a front end tap will need a new set of forks. bearing in mind that scoots new forks will be a fortune
Jus been looking at the repair quote on my bike as i'm toying with the idea of repairing myself to try and learn a bit about bikes. It says i need a new right hand bottom fork leg??? Does this mean the fork is bent?? It rides straight but the handlebars are pointing a fraction off centre when riding straight forwards??? It also says i need a new variator cover and gaskett??? With above would it be ok to ride it to the repairers or should i get a transport for it cos i don't even know what a variator is. Thats the only mechanical issues everything else on the report is cosmetic and lights..... Sorry but i'm a nooooobbbb!
it's about to finish n it's going really really cheap!!! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2008-GILERA-R...14&_trkparms=72:1683|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318 unk:
