ive just payed 520 odd for the year in full for my xt and theyve sent me out a cover note for only 30 days? do they send one out monthly to stop fraud or is something up lol?
I'm pretty sure that is just temporary until you receive all your documents from them. It's so you can get on the road quicker and get taxed. You should get your insurance certificate etc in a few days then.
all insurance do that... they can print a cover not off quick but it takes em a little while to get a policy pack out to you, the covernote expires after a month as its not an offical policy (its a covernote) you cant use a covernote for more than a month, thats a policy (what you will soon recive, you know, your FULL insurance contract) if they didnt do this you could just bell up, get a covernote and send the poliucy back when it comes...thus free insurance for a year (hence the law's about covernotes) the only reason they have a covernote on a policy is so you get it within 2 working days so you can tax the vehicle/prove your insured as its not on the police system untill you HAVE recived your policy (10 days after they send it, wetther you get it or not) and your contractually responcible for your payments untill the policy is back in there hands... so ye, why not ask the fucking aa? they insured you.
because it was half 8 and theyre call rooms were closed? oh and it was because i hadnt provided proof of my no claims so they cant send out the cert if they dont have the proof first waiting for letter from my old insurance company now
LOL my insurance company is open 24/7... how else can they come pick your fucked car up and sort you a nice courtesey car?? LOL aa are lazy (i say my, its my misses insurance, but ye same thing) same for windscreen cover, can havbe a screen fitted at 4am if i so wish
