Anyone in Birmingham help with vx 125/180/200

Greetings all,
I need some assistance from someone in Birmingham with a running VX125, 180 or 200.
I have one in the garage with a possible knackered Malossi cdi on it.
But there is no way to test it, no data sheet available, and Malossi wont give me any info at all. Can't really blame them for that.

I need someone who has one of the above bikes with a malossi cdi with this number on it 5512341, to come over here or i can come to you.

What i would like to do is put this cdi on your bike and see if it starts, thats it.

If it starts, then the cdi is good and there is a wiring fault somewhere in this bike that i have to find.
If it doesn't start then the cdi is shot and will have to be replaced.

The replacement cost of this cdi is £155 with postage. You can hopefully see why i dont just want to buy a new cdi and hope it cures the problem.

I am willing to pay for the privilege of your time and trouble, and it will help me out massively.

It is a straight swap over so there is no messing about with wiring or anything like that, just unplug yours and plug mine in, and see if yours starts.

The cdi is located behind the front panel and is easy to get to as well.

 

no good on ebay or gumtree, out of options unfortunately, this is a last ditch chance appeal. after this i cost my customer £155 for a new cdi that i can't gaurantee will sort the no spark problem
