Got a NRG power having trouble with air bubbles in the fuel pipe today I replaced the fuel lines with new braided ones a new fuel pump but yet its still getting bubbles in there and causing it to bog and cut out after 2 mins of riding the bubbles must be getting in there before the fuel pump and its stumped me so anyone who has messed with a fuel system on a NRG power please shed some light cos I'm pulling my hair out my m.o.t is due by Friday and can't get there
It is normal fuel pipe except its more expensive its braided inside the rubber its not the metal braided one your thinking off
Make sure all the clips are on the end of the hoses correctly as that stop air getting in. Apart from that if you have changed all the pipes and the pump and have not damaged them while installation then, sorry i dont know . Just make sure all the clips r on. Theres nothing to an nrg fuel system, Vacuum pipe, Pump, And pipe to carb
I know I was thinking the same I haven't changed the vacume pipe as that seems OK I've put new stiff clips on and there all in place only thing I can think of is the tap on the tank itself but I can't find a replacement part listing anywhere for it all I can find is vacuum taps for old NRG's. Have you tried taking yours off the tank is it even removable ?
Pull the vacuum off at the engine case, i had to do it when i first got mine, pull it off an suck it, youll have to do it for a few mins then fit vacuum back on an leave i idlein for a bit then try it, mine was sorted!
oli i got all the fuel system bled through fine and left to tick over for 10 mins to get some life in the battery then oncee i ride it and get past half throttle the revs die down andit tries to cut out and when i look at the fuel pipe its full of air bubbles. after this ive bled it through atleast another 5 times and it just does the same its pulling in air somewere
Here is the link for a new fuel tap, but to be honest all the tap is on an NRG is bassicly a filter which you can clean , Bassicly the vacuum draws fuel from the tank through the Filter (TAP) then into the pump and to the carb. If you are getting an air leak into the pipes i would seriously consider changing the vacuum pipe its really cheap - About £ 3.00 For the lot it done mine a treat Also Check were the filler cap meets the tank, IF the rubber that holds them together is split - REPLACE IT that will let it to much air, i had that problem mine was split all the way round and was drawing in to much air. I changed mine and its fine now
doesnt matter about the link i took it all apart again tonight i double checked all the new pipes and took of cleaned and pressure tested the vacuum pipe and its all fine i put it all back together tight and snug started it rode round for 5 mins noticed it wasnt as responsive so i new there was still a fuel issue then yep it did it again started to bog i looked down and yep the fuel pipe has a great big air bubble in it blocking fuel getting into the carb this fucking thing is really getting to me now and my m.o.t is due friday
Just wack a pitbike tank under the seat with premix and a pipe from it straight to the carb get it mot'd then try sort it when its passed
