You can get mounts to fit them via the mirrors but generally I find it to be dangerous to be able to look at satnav when riding. Oh another option is just velcroing it onto your speedo. I ride with it in my pocket and follow voice instructions. You do need to make sure you have a decent enough brand however as the cheaper more unknown brands can have very confusing voice directions.
it was the tom tom rider 2 i was going to buy, do you know who sells the mirror mounts all i can find is brackets for handlebars and brackets to mount them to the top of bike forks , i did not know it would pick a signal up in your pocket , i thought it had to be in view ,
I thought about velcroing it (my iPhone with TomTom), but a few bumps and you might find it bouncing down the road so decided against it. Might have to look into the wing mirror mounts though, cheers!
Those mirror mounts seem to be the only thing thats available for iPhones Really i'd rather something on my legshield or something where it wil be protected from sun, rain and wind and all that stuff and where i wont have to sit far forward to use my headphones or use it..
i used a proper phone holder and had a bolt into the handle barrs and plastic worked well till my little slip and snaped it off lol
A proper unit will be fine in a pocket. A phone with a poor quality gps unit in it then not so. iPhones are well known to have terrible gps units. I haven't mounted one personally onto mirrors so I'm not sure where you'd get a mount. A handlebar one should work with some modding if it doesn't let you tie it down onto a small enough bar.
