Anyone else got an area 51? And what else/size motors fit?

Seems most of you ride other stuff and I maybe alone in having an area 51, :cry:

But I'd like to know what else the horizontal w/c motor was fitted to,partly idol curiosity, but also so I can look at the right info in threads for other scoots!

Also did this motor come in bigger sizes? Mines a 50cc.

Area 51 uses a minarelli engine i beleive

That's rite dave! But whatother scoots run this engine? Being a newbie to scoots I'd like to read some of the threads here that relate to my motor, not nessisarily my scoot, as it seems I'm on my own with my 51! :cry:

dont forget the aprilia SR, Rally Lc, Sonic only come in 50cc though. good engines

shame they don't do a 125 egh!? Still good to know the motors a good un!

And that it's popular! Means tunings easier!
Is there a good manual/book on these engines?

Looking at the 51 compared to the other scoots it looks a lot bigger and heavier, hope it don't slow it too much!

i wud get a haynes manual there pretty good but im not a 100% sure if they do them for area 51's and i dont think ure the only 1 with a area 51 ive seen a few other people who drive them on here

try the apriliaforum.com for manuals and other threads on the engine ect.

the only downfall i found with the area51 was the front end and its handling. its more of a sprint frame

I also have an area 51, i bought a spares and repairs one aswel took the engine out of it ripped it to pieces and through £300 at it and now it runs like a sports bike it sounds sweet ive have 73mph out of it after a 3 mile straight. so my suggestion is to stick with a 50cc engine and then just whack a 70cc big bore kit in it and go from there.
