Had a lot of trouble lately with my SR 125, I know i've posted a few times about it but this time the matter has changed!

Just got the back wheel fixed, bolts came off holding the wheel and the scooter wouldn't start apparently the carb was packed full of dirt. After the carb was cleaned the bike actually runs a lot quieter and smoother just one more thing to sort.

Got the new drive belt and front pulley installed on it. It feels like it's constantly stuck on a higher gear or something takes a bit longer to accelerate and it doesn't go over 50mph. It's been driven about for say 5 miles or so to test. Took the CVT cover off and theres no wear from the new drive belt so I've sorted that problem.

Any ideas what could be causing the speed/acceleration problem?

I may leave it in to get fixed at a mechanic but a lot of the guys around here are very hard to pay, or end up damaging plastics etc.

    Cheers Neil.

Check the rollers to see if they are fitted in correctly, is it the right belt?

Yeah the rollers were fitted correctly and it is the correct belt! i tried the older belt, which didn't have much wear and it was the same.

Is the front pulley right for the bike, is it an aftermarket front pulley? If so try the standard one with the new belt, you might need to run the belt in, could be abit stiff still and slipping slightly.
