No MOT invalidates his insurance (and potentially his road tax). His insurers will most likely not pay out if you tell them and from then on in, it's the other driver's problem to repair your bike out of his own pocket. The ABI (Association of British Insurers) do have something in place to help people involved in accidents with uninsured drivers and if I were in your position, I'd call them for advice before blowing him up to his insurance company.

I'd definitely mention it to the Police though.

Get his address and pay him a visit
Early morning wake up call normally works

Burn his arse to the ground, Alex. Also inform the Police as to when the accident occurred and that you are aware that he may not have an MOT on his car - they can check instantly via VOSA anyway and this knobhead can't re-write history, no matter how intimidating he gets. The Dibble can then lay their brand of intimidating on him.

    None.
what you now need to do is this -
inform the police of the accident (if you haven't already), let them know that he has visited you at your address and tell them exactly what he did + said. this is no longer a civil matter. he was driving illegally and had an accident, he then attempted to intimidate you. if he tries to pay another visit, record the conversation or get somebody to secretly film it. intimidation is not on. violence is not on. keep a log and record of all communication between yourself and the other party involved - once your insurance companies are involved - there really shouldn't be any further communication between yourself and the other party.

insurance should still pay out to you or repair your bike aslong as you were riding legally (insured, taxed, motd and licence holder)

I deal with insurance companies and claims a lot now so getting used to + know most of the loopholes now.
