Anti-Freeze

    What were to happen if you didn't use anti-freeze in the coolant bottle in the summer? Because it will not freeze but they still say to do it. Why?

    It acts as a coolant in the engine so imagine using air instead of liquid to cool an engine, it would overheat.

    Anti freeze has a higher boiling point than water

    It raises the boiling temperature of the collant and also acts a lubricant for the pump and corrosion protection.
