i put a gianelli exhaust on my dna 50 only ti find that it made the performance worse as i didnt change roller weights or clutch springs so i put back stock exhaust and it was fine.

not long after riding the engine just bogged down and if i didnt release the throttle it will switch off. if im irding now after a short period of time it does this, if i let og of the throttle the engine stays on but it is ever so quiet and seems like its holding on to dear life, this normally happens when i pick up some speed and goin faster, the engine eventualy switches off and then it takes about 5 mins to get started again.

    does any1 have any suggestions?

i went over the exhaust and made sure i had tightened the bolts on properly especially at main fold one was a lil loose so i though it was loosing pressure but i know have sorted that out but still no luck

Did you fit a new gasket when you changed back to the original exhaust?

It's probably nothing to do with the exhaust change, just unfortunate.

Because you need to fit a new gasket every time you separate parts with gaskets between them.
    That's Every time, ok?

It used to be OK to reuse gaskets in the 1950s, nowadays manufacturers measure stuff when they make it.

[little known fact]You should even replace the gasket ring on a spark plug every time you remove it to check it. [/little known fact]

with exhaust gaskets i kinda disagree with you there

if its a paper gasket i'd defo replace, but a metal squish ring gasket can be re-used, as long as it seals, iv reused one 5 or 6 times before and u can stall the engine by covering the end of the exhaust, so it does seal fine still

There has been a recent problem with Vespa GTS250s where the exhaust gasket wasn't sealing after being reused. Hot exhaust gasses escaped, melted the fuel pipe and set light to the bike.

Don't be cheap, buy a new gasket

sometimes you can get away with it. to be honest, i don't think this is the problem here.
