anodising

    anybody know where to get an engine casing anodised and roughly how much it would cost??

    Theres a place near us in Mansfield. They have a min charge of £25. Recon you're looking at that sort of figure for a small casing. I was after getting some alu caliper plugs anodized a while back

    the case can be done, but its alot of fuckin about removing it from certian areas... end can is easy tho..

    i've tried nitro-morse didn't work and now im sanding but my arm is dead. does oven cleaner work for sure?

    there are quite a few chemicals that remove it hassel free... google it to see what's avalable to you

    you need caustic soda or Mr Muscle oven cleaner. make sure the item to be stripped is covered with a cloth and check it regularly. It'll eat into the Alu if you leave it too long

    I did my swing arm on the EXUP with oven cleaner & then polished it
