annoying problem! throttle response

okay heres the deal i got a gilera ice, i bought i second hand but i've had it around 2 months now.

One things thats just come on is that everytime i pull away its like its choking on it self- theres no power it just judders power then after about 5 seconds bam full power and i go.

everything is standard atm part from leo vince tt pipe.... and de-restricted.

is it if you full throttle from pull away?

 

yea i normally full throttle when i pull away...

but then again if i didnt full throttle it would probably be the same as if i was full throttling it lol

 

have a play with idle mix.

 

okay, do you think my carb could be clogged up or my fuel line?

 

no probs just bad set-up but can check for nothing.

also rollers could be too heavy.

isnt standard. he listed loads of other parts in other thread, and more than likely had a mess with it. and like i said rollers could be too heavy

 

ok did what you said put some stiffer springs and some lighter roollers 3.5 to be exact

and tbh not much of a difference still does it when coming to a corner and then pulling form it

 

did u upjet when u fitted the pipe?

 

no. im guessing that maybbe the problem? but how? i know hardly anything about jetting im willing to learn...

 

you need to upjet around 5%. so take your float bowl off(the plastic bit on bottom of carb) then they will be gold bolts things these are jets the biggest one in the middle is the one you want. need to see what numbers are on it. then add 5% to that and just unscrew the old one and screw the new one in. refit float bowl make sure its sealed right and job done unk:
