I make ally tread plates for peds you can find them on fleabay .I do em for Speedfights, x8rs , both sr 50 models ,early typhoon and nrg , early runner and piaggio et2 and et4 vespas. more on the way. some of them are laser cut others band saw and yes it is 2mm ally tread plate .Prices are from £16.99 they look really good I am especially proud of the new shape aprilia sr 50 decks they look so much better than the minging stock ones which ruin a otherwise beautifull ped.Heres a few oics . 1 . sr 50 new shape. 2 honda x8rs 3. gilera runner old shape . 4 nrg and early typhoon
I finished some ET ones today not to hard exept for the uplift at the front which allways has a twist
I'd need them to extend up beyond where the stock ones do pretty much to the bottom of the glovebox and the full width of that panel as well.
Shouldnt be to diff you may need to put some shims in under the inside edge of the plate to make it sit properly .I may give the full length versions a bash , reckon they would look nice.
It's not really for looks. More for the reason that on my RT 70 project the inner panels are all painted in rattle can matt black so it will rub off quite quickly as that's generally where I rest my feet.
